Irene Chung is a journalist, illustrator, and art director based between New York City and Taipei.




Irene Chung (b. 2000, Taipei; lives and works in New York City, NY) is a multidisciplinary journalist and illustrator. She received a Master in Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, RI (2024). Irene earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Sciences and Journalism from Boston University (2022). Her written and illustrated works can be found in the Boston Globe, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, La Vie Taiwan,  Shopping Design, The Reporter, Mirror Fiction, and more. Her subjects of interest include food, women’s health, femininity, modern romance, memories, and loss.

She aspires to run her own publishing house one day and dedicated her publications to women in arts and culture.
